Alsco Reno Donates to Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada

RENO, Nev. – The Alsco Reno branch of Alsco Inc. recently made a donation to Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada to help support education-related activities. In addition, Alsco Reno sponsors an annual banquet for Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Nevada, which includes some of the branch’s Top 40 customers in the Carson City area. Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada has partnered with Carson City School District in a unique, grant-funded after-school program at three schools in the district. Students who participate in one of these programs receive help with academics like reading, math and writing as well as take part in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) curriculum and Civics education. Staff at Alsco Reno applied for and received a non-profit gift/grant through the Steiner Foundation, which was created by Alsco in 1969 to allow Alsco branches to become involved in and help support various non-profit charities and projects in their local communities. “Our donation helps provide local children with access to programs where they can build their academic skills and confidence,” said Shawn Mynear, Alsco Reno general manager. “We are proud to be able to make this contribution to Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Nevada and honored to offer support to our community.”
