SALT LAKE CITY — July 9, 2019 — Alsco Inc., the worldwide leader in providing rental services for linen, workwear uniforms and facility services to customers including restaurants, healthcare, automotive industry and industrial facilities, is proud to be the primary sponsor of the No. 2 Chevrolet Camaro SS driven by Tyler Reddick for Richard Childress Racing (RCR) in the Alsco 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, Kentucky, on July 12.
Alsco’s backing of Reddick for the Alsco 300 marks the sixth consecutive year of the company’s partnership with RCR for this event. Alsco is also proud to celebrate four consecutive years as the title sponsor of one of the marquee races on the NASCAR Xfinity Series calendar.
“Partnering with Richard Childress Racing is like becoming family, and just like a family, our relationship has grown over time,” said Jim Divers, Alsco’s director of sales and marketing. “In 2019, RCR presented us with the opportunity to become an associate sponsor on the No. 2 car driven by Tyler Reddick, and we added primary sponsorship for two races: the Alsco 300 this weekend and the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway in the fall. Quite simply, we couldn’t be any happier with the way RCR has treated us throughout the years, and we’re excited to expand our partnership even further.”
On and off the track, Alsco provides RCR and Childress Vineyards with high-quality Red Kap products as part of its linen and uniform rental agreements with Childress’ companies.
“Long-standing partnerships are the reason that RCR has been successful for 50 years,” said Richard Childress, chairman and CEO of Richard Childress Racing. “We couldn’t be out at the race track every weekend without the support and dedication of partnerships like the one we have with Alsco. They play a key role in our daily operations, helping us with everything from uniforms for our team members to providing the haulers with mats and carpeting. These things are important to helping our team be able to focus on racing and getting our partners to the winners circle.”
Tyler Reddick is the defending NASCAR Xfinity Series champion and has six series wins. Reddick, the current championship points leader, joined RCR this season and scored his first win of 2019 at Talladega Superspeedway. He went on to win the Alsco 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and has three wins under his belt so far in 2019.
“It’s so cool that we were able to win the Alsco 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, with Alsco on the No. 2 Camaro as an associate sponsorship,” said Reddick. “I joked a little bit about it, but it felt great winning that race after visiting the Alsco suite earlier in the day and having everyone there tell me that they hadn’t won a race they’ve sponsored. So the pressure was definitely on that weekend, and I was able to get it done.”
Reddick scored his first NASCAR Xfinity Series win in 2017 at Kentucky Speedway, so the 23-year-old from Corning, California, is excited to return to a track where he’s had past success.
“Now that we’ve won the Alsco 300 in Charlotte, we’re going to do everything we can to win the Alsco 300 at Kentucky Speedway in the No. 2 Alsco Chevrolet Camaro,” Reddick continued. “It was great winning Charlotte, but now we need to take it a step further and win again at Kentucky in the bright green Alsco Camaro. I’m really grateful for Alsco’s support and can’t wait to get out there on Friday night.”
RCR is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2019, and considering Alsco’s 130 years in business, multigenerational success has been a common bond uniting the two companies.
“Both Alsco and RCR have multiple generations of families in the businesses, and in my opinion, there is no better compliment for any organization than to have multiple generations of employees that want their family to work at the same place they did,” Divers concluded. “Congratulations to the Childress family and everyone at RCR on this milestone anniversary. Let’s celebrate with a win this weekend!”
