Alsco Eugene Branch Donates to the Pete Moore Hospice House

EUGENE, Ore. — July 9, 2019 — Alsco Eugene, a branch of Alsco Inc., the premier worldwide linen and uniform rental services company, recently donated $1,000 to the Pete Moore Hospice House, a service of Cascade Health Foundation. In addition, Alsco Eugene will be recognized as part of the “Wind Beneath Our Wings” donor wall at the Pete Moore Hospice House.

“Over the years, Alsco Eugene has been a great partner to work with to help us accomplish the vision of the Pete Moore Hospice House,” said Margie Brooks, Cascade Health Foundation’s executive director. “This donation will make a difference for hospice patients and their families.”

“Alsco Eugene works hand in hand with Cascade Health to provide our employees with necessary health care services,” said Bill Inge, Alsco Eugene general manager. “We are honored to donate to the Pete Moore Hospice House. We hope that our contribution can help provide peace and comfort to families in our community at such an incredibly vulnerable time.”

A hospice house is designed to provide hospital-level palliative care in a home-like environment designed to meet the needs of both patients and their loved ones. The Pete Moore Hospice House provides both respite care and acute symptom management for those facing life-limiting illnesses. While these services are often provided in the home, a visit to a hospice house facility helps provide a higher level of comfort and pain management when caregivers are unable to control symptoms at home.

“By addressing the needs of both patients and caregivers during these critical times, the Pete Moore Hospice House is able to preserve life’s dignity and serenity,” stated Brooks. “Receiving comfort and compassion, while surrounded by those they love, helps individuals find meaning in the final phase of life.”

About Pete Moore Hospice House The vision for the Pete Moore Hospice House began with a community-wide recognition of the need for compassionate care and a home-like environment for people to comfortably live out their final days. The support and input of the medical community and other community members translated this vision into reality. Nature wraps patients and their families in a serene, home-like environment where they experience quality, compassionate end-of-life care.
