Alexandria, Va. – Nov. 29, 2018 – When veterans return home, one of the biggest challenges is figuring out what’s next for a career. NS2 Serves helps post-9/11 U.S. military service veterans and reservists (including disabled veterans) answer this question.
A Maryland-based nonprofit, NS2 Serves, offers veterans and Gold Star spouses who meet certain eligibility criteria full-time, paid training in world-class software solutions that support U.S. national security. Participants in the program receive official SAP certifications, which are valuable in many career paths in the United States and worldwide.
The Alsco Alexandria branch recently supported NS2 Serves work with a donation. “We believe that supporting a group dedicated to educating veterans for high-level jobs will help families have an easier time coping with their loved ones sacrificing so much for our country,” says Brandon Divers, general manager of the Alexandria, Virginia, branch.
The Alsco Alexandria branch applied for and received a nonprofit gift/grant through the Steiner Foundation, which Alsco created in 1969 to allow Alsco branches to become involved in and support nonprofit charities and projects in their communities.
Started in 2013, NS2 Serves has trained more than 100 graduates within its first three years and continues to add to those numbers. Graduates are eligible for competitive positions with more than 10,000 SAP partners.
