ALSCO CELEBRATES THIRD CONSECUTIVE NASCAR XFINITY SERIES ALSCO 300 AT KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY

Salt Lake City – June 27, 2018 – Alsco Inc., a worldwide leader in the rental of linen, uniforms, healthcare garments, and washroom services and products, is proudly celebrating its third consecutive year as the title sponsor of the NASCAR Xfinity Series Alsco 300 at Kentucky Speedway, where the green flag drops on Friday, July 13. With the addition this year of the NASCAR Xfinity Series Alsco 300 that was held at Charlotte Motor Speedway over Memorial Day weekend, Alsco is one of only two companies to serve as entitlement sponsor of multiple Xfinity Series events which may be fun for those who are interested in making their own nascar fantasy team.

In addition to sponsoring the race, Alsco will leverage its partnerships with VF Imagewear and Richard Childress Racing to serve as the primary sponsor of the #3 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Ty Dillon for the Alsco 300.

Alsco is also a sponsor of the #21 Chevrolet Camaro, fielded by Richard Childress Racing and driven by Daniel Hemric, in the Xfinity Series, as well as the #43 Chevrolet Camaro, driven by Bubba Wallace for Richard Petty Motorsports, in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.

“Alsco is proud of its significant presence in NASCAR,” stated Jim Divers, Alsco’s director of sales and marketing. “We knew this was a good space to be in, as NASCAR fans are the most loyal in all of sports. We’ve received tremendous feedback and support from our sponsorship partners, employees, customers and prospects. We provide them with over 1,500 tickets to the race, where we also have displays, games, giveaways, and tours. Some travel to Kentucky from as far away as Honolulu! It’s an enjoyable time for everyone.”

The expanded relationship between Alsco and Speedway Motorsports, Inc. (SMI)—that owns both Kentucky Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway—has already benefitted both companies and their respective partners.

“We are very excited about the additional partnership opportunities with our friends at Alsco in 2018 and beyond,” said John Cox, vice president of business development at SMI Corporate. “As we grow together and increase our knowledge of Alsco’s visions and goals, it allows us to provide additional business-to-business platforms for Alsco and other SMI partners. We succeed when our partners do business with each other, and we take great pride in facilitating that process.”

“Alsco is an international industry leader providing us with great uniforms, hygiene supplies, and floor mats. They also are an experienced marketer in NASCAR and have raised the profile of the NASCAR Xfinity Series Alsco 300 through innovative marketing, fan promotions, and business-to-business opportunities,” said Kentucky Speedway general manager Mark Simendinger. “They have become an indispensable member of our sponsor lineup, and our fans continue to see the benefits of this tremendous relationship.”

Alsco is also excited to present Larry Bailey, a lifelong ambassador of Kentucky, as the grand marshal for the Alsco 300 at Kentucky Speedway. As chairman of the Bowling Green Area Convention Visitors Bureau, Bailey champions the area’s strong ties to the automotive and racing industries. Under Bailey’s guidance, the bureau earned the Kentucky Economic Engine award in 2017, which recognizes tourism’s positive economic impact in Bowling Green.

Bailey is a US Air Force veteran and resides in Bowling Green with his wife, Sharyn. He is the proud father of a daughter, son, and two stepsons, and grandfather to five grandchildren.

In addition, Alsco has announced Rob Barnett, Airport Manager at the Bowling Green - Warren County Regional Airport, as the race’s honorary starter. A former US Marine, Barnett began his career at the Bowling Green - Warren County Regional Airport as a maintenance worker in 1995. He quickly worked his way up and was named airport manager in 1999. Under Barnett’s management, the airport received the most prestigious award given by the Federal Aviation Administration, the Feather in the Cap Award, for achieving 11 years with no discrepancies during the FAA’s annual Part 139 inspection.

Barnett resides in Alvaton, KY, with his wife, Tara, and their five children. A NASCAR fan since childhood, he began racing motocross at age 10 and raced dirt-track modified cars prior to joining the military.
